Coast Celebrating First Anniversary As Self-Sufficent Program

An adult
education program on the South Coast which served thousands of people annually
became another casualty of the state funding crisis.
But,
college officials, students, and teachers rallied, and came up with a creative
approach to keeping the program running by making it self sufficient.
The Santa
Barbara City College Center for Lifelong Learning is going to celebrate its
first anniversary this weekend.
