Get Crafting the First Week of Summer Term at the CLL

Did you know, the CLL summer term begins June 23 and runs through August 23?

Treat yourself this summer, and experience all the CLL has to offer!

Why not dive right in to lifelong learning with these crafty classes, starting next week:

with Carolyn Holguin
6 Tuesdays, beginning June 24th
12:30 p.m.  – 4 p.m.
OR 6 Wednesdays, beginning June 25th
5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m.
Students will learn basic skills to create several fused glass pieces. Emphasis will be placed on creating functional, yet artistic pieces, including a small plate or bowl. The class will be taught at a relaxed pace with emphasis on artistry and fun. Students will experience the wonderfully equipped glass studio. 9 Thursdays, beginning June 26th
1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
This course on the art of enameling on metal begins by exploring the basic principles of enameling through the melting of powdered glass on the surface of copper or silver sheet metal in artistic patterns. Students also learn a variety of more advanced techniques including the use of silver or gold foils and cloisonné. Class Cost: $160.00   Materials Cost: $35.00

7 Fridays, beginning June 27th 
1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
You would like just the right decorative pot for that certain spot in your home. Stop looking and make your own! In this class you will explore the techniques of hand building and wheel throwing to create containers especially for fresh cut flowers and potted plants. No experience is needed to complete these ceramic projects, just a desire to create something beautiful with your own hands. All skill levels will benefit from demonstrations and then choose to complete their project by hand building or wheel throwing.
Class Cost: $136.00   Materials Cost: $25.00
